Yesterday evening the Centralia Panther Cheer Squad had their lock in event at the school. Coach Allison Alvers was pleased with how well the cheer squad worked together on new pom routines and football cheers. They also prepared plans for homecoming. Time To Shine Panthers!
Once again, Congratulations to Treydon Talley and Camden Conley for participating in the Shrine bowl activities. Congratulations to their families as well. I did get a picture of Treydon with his family and Camden took time to find me last night as well! Game ended 10-10 Tie!
Tonight Centralia schools is being represented at the Shrine Bowl in Pittsburg KS by #76 red Treydon Talley O-line and Camden Conley Trumpet player—Congratulations to them both! What a great experience for these young men! Event is filled with volunteers -For the Kids!
Summer weights ended with B and G's (provided by Mr. Holthaus and Mr Thompson) along with attendance and performance awards. I was unable to find pics of the breakfast provided by Mr. Evans on Wednesday but Mr. Thompson took a few this morning. 2022-2023 Time to Shine Panthers!

Lines were unending at the Kim Domann benefit. I saw individuals from all over the county and surrounding communities. We are lucky to raise our kids within this loving community. Hats off to all involved. The Centralia Community Building was packed full for the auction.
The final summer band session that was scheduled for Monday, July 18th has been cancelled. I want to thank all the students who were able to participate this past summer. Thank you as well to the parents for supporting the band/music department-Mr. Talley
First year Head Coach Roger Holthaus preparing his panther football team for the upcoming season.
Coach Tammy Talley is preparing her volleyball team for the upcoming season. These ladies had a great appearance in the state tournament last year and are hoping to do the same this year.
Office staff from both sides of the district are working together “rolling students over” within our data management system. The 2022-2023 school year is right around the corner.
USD 380 School Board met in a special meeting this morning and would like to announce the hiring of Wade Talley as the new Centralia Principal for the 2022-23 school year. We wish him the best of luck.

Due to impending weather forecast USD 380 will be closed on Thursday, March 10. Remember there is No School on Friday, March 11 because of the State Tournament. Stay safe and have a great Spring Break.
Due to adverse road conditions, USD 380 will be closed today March 7, 2022.
There will also be no early childhood classes on March 7, 2022.
USD 380 will have a two hour delay tomorrow morning March 7, 2022.
This Monday, March 7th, we will be having our second USD 380 Robotics Night! The Frankfort RoboCats will be taking on the Centralia Steel Panthers in a VEX: Tipping Point Competition, with possible Valley Heights Robotics Students as guest competitors. The event will start around 6:30pm in the Frankfort Cafeteria and last about an hour. All spectators are encouraged and welcome. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Mr. Shearer.
USD380 welcomes our third superintendent candidate today.
Mr. Trevor Ashcraft is currently the USD380 Curriculum Director and Vermilion Principal, a role he has been in for 5 years. He earned his elementary education endorsement from West Texas A&M University, reading specialist endorsement from Ft. Hays State University and will earn his educational administration in May.
Ashcraft has established and facilitated Professional Learning Community meetings, assisted the board of education with creating and implementing a 5 year strategic plan, led the district’s accreditation team, and has been instrumental in the redesign of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.
