Mr Conley’s Community Topics class have been exploring projects that include the Centralia Community. Today a park bench was painted. Thank you to Mr Gudenkauf for helping. Student’s within class are also exploring projects that pertain to historical documents at city hall.

Skeeter the Clown visited the K-6 today. She performed some pretty amazing tricks and showed off her talents on the recorder and slide whistle. This presentation sets up the Circus which is coming to town on September 6th.

KAY’s had their membership drive today. The Kansas Association for Youth is a great organization for our students. They organize service projects for the school and community. Congratulation to Kyra Bergman who was nominated the Area 3 president this year.

Mrs. Akin’s Ag Enrichment class helped out Friday by putting together new Kindergarten Tables. We are trying some new things out in what used to be called Seminar Time. Quilting with Mrs Gleason, Art Enrichment activities, Science Enrichment, Music Enrichment.

Big Thanks to the Frankfort side of the district. Misty and her kitchen crew (aka Carol) worked their tails off this past week. I helped on Wednesday for 90 minutes and was such great help Frankfort sent one of their own to help us :) RESPECT is the word I have for them!!

During Art, Mrs Ruebke showed high school students how to make pencils markings smoother using baby oil and rubbing alcohol, Mrs. Bergman was taking the 7th grade through new Math Apps, and Mrs. Kramer was addressing Food Safety! I am learning all kinds of information this year!

Well this didn't take long. The Seniors were sent to the principals office on day 1! These young men and women will be great leaders for our school. It is their "Time To Shine". The staff and I challenged them to decide right now to have a great year and to enjoy it!

We are still going strong on day. We started in the Gym with a K-12 Pep Rally. Glow Sticks for everyone and Butterfly lights on the Seniors. Our Theme This Year--Time To Shine-We sang songs to start off day and made sure every student knew that we are one unit, one Family!

Quick reminder to all Centralia Panthers. Tomorrow, August 3rd, is enrollment day. It runs from 8 am to 12:00pm and from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The office staff at all three locations have been preparing with hopes it will be an easy process for everyone!! Time to Shine Panthers!

Today is the final day of the Fair and I would like to congratulate all of 4-Her's especially the Red Rustlers and Centralia Aces. It is clearly evident they enjoy 4-H and were having a lot of fun at the parade and different activities this past weekend.
