Over the weekend, Jacie and Parker Koch participated in the Wichita State University Honor Band. Jacie was 7th chair Flute, and Parker was 1st chair Tenor Sax. They received their music Friday morning and performed their concert Saturday evening. They both did an excellent job. Congratulations, Jacie and Parker!

This project was created in Mrs. Bergman's Physics class from the start of December up until the end of January. Here is the write up I was sent by these students------------During this period, we learned how to control its arm using the pressure from syringes to raise and lower the arm, open and close its claw, and rotate it from its base. Along with that, we had to use our constructive skills to construct the hydraulic arm so everything would function correctly and have the strength to hold not only itself but also raise an object. Our goal for this was for it to be able to lift a water bottle. After these 2 months, we finally accomplished the feat, so we presented it to the Kindergarten class and let them try it out for themselves. It took all of our heads but now we can finally say this project was successful.

Some of the high school boys had a good time taking pictures with the JH boys after the basketball game.

Congratulations to our JH teams on a great year of basketball. Girls finished 2nd in the OTL tournament and the boys finished 1st. Great job all players and coaches!

Congratulations Mr Crowther and our scholars bowl team who placed 2nd in Regionals today and they qualified for State Tournament.

Congratulations to Parker Koch for being accepted into KMEA State Honor Band! He is the 2nd chair Tenor Sax in the 1-2A Honor Band. This band will be performing on February 24th in Wichita.

The Centralia Scholars Bowl team travels to Blue Valley today to compete in the Regional Scholars Bowl. Good Luck Panthers!!

Ag Partners CO-OP chose the FFA chapter to be the recipient of their quarterly fuel donations this past year. Each time fuel was purchased at the Corning location a portion of the fuel sales was donated to the FFA chapter from January 2023-January 2024. Thank you to everyone who purchased fuel at the Corning location and supported our FFA chapter.

The Forensics team competed well at Sabetha today. Mrs Schroller and the four of them are looking forward to more meets!

Forgot to share some pictures from this past week of Mr Thompson's Science lab where they were studying the heart by dissecting a pig heart. And also some from Mrs Kramer's 7th grade FACS class who did paradises describing the proper amount of food groups of a healthy diet. They did a great job singing them!!
