I would like to send out an apology about the previous post to Local Radio Station KMZA who has covered our student athletes all year. KMZA will be broadcasting the State games and we truly appreciate their support throughout this past year. Thank you! http://www.kmzafm.com/

Great Job to Mrs. Schroller and our JH Band. They performed well at the OTL Band clinic tonight. Also, I would like to apologize for sending out the wrong time on the Orange Sheet. I must have misread the Online Calendar and wrote 6:30 instead of 6:00-This is no excuse but I do apologize to those who were late due to this error. Have a great evening. -------Mr.Talley

4th graders are reading a great book called Oregon Trail. Strongly suggest to those that haven't read it. 1st grader's were looking at fun careers with Mrs. Schmitz and Mrs. Conley's class was reading about games around the world. Great day to be alive and a Panther!!

Thanks to Mr Shearer, these Panthers competed In their first Esports event. Super Smash Brothers-We had two team's competing-The Stronghold team won their match tonight - Team Destroyers lost in a close battle against Gibson High School 2-3- these events are best out of 5 games -- but individual games consists of each student playing an Opponent in a battle of best out of three. Thank you to Mr Crowther as well for helping Mr Shearer get the Nintendo Switch connected to our network! Finding A Way!!!

Parker Koch participated in the 2024 KMEA 1-2A State Honor Band in Wichita. They practiced all day Thursday and Friday with the performance on Saturday. The band sounded great! It is amazing what these students can accomplish. Two of the songs they performed were The Water is Wide by Swearingen and American Cameos by Dawson. Congratulations, Parker!

Another item I didn't get posted from Wednesday of this past week. I took some sophomores back up to HCC center to look at their Precision Ag, Welding, construction, diesel tech, and other programs. Education may at times be assessed in the form of an A,B,orC but in the end it's about gaining knowledge and skills. A high school diploma provides all of us options!

A few items from the past week- Mrs Poe was challenged by a 6th grade student in a typing dual. Reward= Recess. It was a great battle (60-70 wpm) and the student did win one of the three, but Mrs Poe came through and gave them recess anyways:)

The 5th Grade Class got to enjoy an Ice Cream Bar today that was purchased by some parents at The Panther Nation Celebration! The Ice Cream Bar even featured HOMEMADE Ice Cream, made by two grandma's of one of the 5th graders!

Students are participating well in FFA week. Today is drive your tractor to school day.

Update from Mrs. Poe:
6th grade keyboarding students are hard at work improving their keyboarding scores!
