Mrs. Bergman's class enjoyed the beautiful crisp fall morning with a walk to Haverkamp's grocery store to collect data for their "Unit Rates" project. The students compared similar products and calculated the unit prices, found the better buy and then calculated how much 25 units would cost. Thanks to Haverkamp Grocery for always accommodating us!!

Thank you the Paint crew for helping me put up the new flagpole at the football field that was recently purchased by the booster club! Mark Haverkamp, Josh Tanking, Brent Domann, Jason Puvogel, Drew Gibbs and Matt Talley.

Staff and parents, Friday night's FB game vs Horton has been cancelled, due to low numbers for Horton. Mr. Holthaus will continue to look for a game for Friday night, but he said it will be highly unlikely to find a game at this time.

Centralia Seniors participated in the Kansas Apply Free Days today! They spent the afternoon applying for colleges and filling out scholarships.

Centralia High School Volleyball has their last regular season home game tonight.
They host a Triangular with Axtell & Onaga and will be celebrating Senior Night for the Volleyball players.

The KAY Blood Drive is taking place today in the North Gym at the school.
They will be here from 12 to 6 pm. Walk Ins are welcome.

Centralia JV Volleyball team travels to Rock Creek for a Quad with Rock Creek, Sabetha, & Valley Heights tonight.
Games start at 5:00 pm.

Also, today the High girls volleyball team had a varsity tournament in Valley Falls and a JV tournament in Falls City Nebraska. The JV won one and lost one and Congratulations to the Varsity team for placing second place at the Valley Falls Invitational.

Centralia Athletes had a lot of activities today. Mr Crowther's don't remember if ever both Girls and Boys winning the same XC meet, but it happened today at the Lake--Congratulations to both the boys and the girls cross country teams for both taking first place at the Centralia invitational today. We also appreciate all the volunteers who helped run the meet. Thank you!

Centralia High School Volleyball is in tournaments in Valley Falls & Falls City today.

Varsity is at Valley Falls and will play after the 8:00 am game is complete.
JV is at Falls City and will play after the 9:00 am game is complete.

We had our annual "It is a great day to be alive and to be a panther day" at the Football field to day. This is where the entire K-12 spends the last few hours interacting and playing games. We started the day in the stands singing the Fight Song. Then Jacie Koch, Taige Koch, and Jayce Schmitz sang the School Alma Mater. We then had our Pep Rally Skit where some of the Women Teachers Squared off against some of the Men Teachers in a football game. Last, the STUCO finalized their Pie in the Face Fundraiser for Daniel Childress. Mr. Holthaus was the big winner but they decided to reward 2nd and third as well. The STUCO and all of the organizations of Centralia Schools raised right at $5000.00 for the Childress Family. The students were then served by the boosters some Ice Cream from the Rockey Road Creamery. Afterwards they ran around the football field interacting with all ages. I love watching the little ones interact and play activities with our older students. It is my favorite day of the year as a principal. We will have more pictures and video to share in the near.

Centralia High School Football travels to Atchison today to take on Maur Hill-Mount Academy.
Kick off is at 7:00 pm.
