Yesterday, the Jr. High Band participated in the OTL Band Clinic at D-West with clinician Kent Stutheit. They prepared these songs for months and put on an excellent concert.

The Centralia Lady Panthers take on the Clifton-Clyde Eagles in the Sub-State Finals tonight with a chance to head to the State Tournament on the line! The game starts at 7:30 in Centralia.
This is a KSHSAA event so no school or league passes will be accepted. Adults are $8 & Students are $6.
The Centralia Panther Booster Club is paying for the admission of any Centralia K-12 students.

Second-Mrs. Holthaus's 7th graders are making solar ovens with the hopes of cooking some pancakes in the future. They are using knowledge from previous lessons to come up with their designs.
Lots of fun assignments at Centralia Schools today. First -Mr Shearer's class teamed up with Mrs. Parthemer's class and imploded one of my good 55 gallon containers- They put some water in the 55 gallon metal barrel. Then they heated the water in the unsealed barrel and let the steam fill the air space within the barrel. Next they sealed the barrel after boiling the water for a while. On Saturday, Parker and Jacie Koch represented CHS at the KMEA 12A State Honor Band in Wichita. This is a huge honor, and they worked incredibly hard to earn a spot among some of the best musicians in our 12A schools. Not only did they give an unforgettable performance, but they also had the incredible opportunity to see a live performance by the renowned Romanian electric quartet, Amadeus.

The Lady Panthers Basketball team starts Postseason play tonight in Centralia. They will tip off at 7:00 pm versus Onaga in a Semifinal match up.
