Principal-Head Football Coach
Graduated from Baker University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Education. Obtained a Masters of Educational Administration from Benedictine College.
I have been in education and coaching for 24 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. Being in a K-12 building, it is always exciting to see students progress from their kindergarten year to a graduating senior. As I have always said, it takes a community to raise a kid and we have tremendous communities, parents and students involved in the Centralia schools. Our students leave here with a knowledge base and the confidence to pursue their next step in their young lives. As the world changes, we at Centralia want to educate our students to not only be leaders in our communities but leaders world wide.
I am married to Janelle, who is the At-Risk teacher at Centralia Schools. We have three children—Tyler, Michael and Katie. Tyler graduated from Baker University and is married. He is currently employed at J-Six Farms as an IT technician. Michael is attending the University of Kansas where he was a safety on the football team. He is currently earning a degree in physical education and working towards college coaching. Katie is currently a sophomore at Centralia High School.
I was originally born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. After eight years in Chicago, our family moved to Centralia in 1977. I attended Centralia High School then played football at Baker University. After graduating from Baker, I student taught at Centralia and then became the business teacher and coached football and basketball. I thoroughly enjoy working with student/athletes and striving to make them they best they can be. Hobbies include: woodworking, fishing and just being around family and friends.
