After high school I attended Cloud County Community College in Concordia, Kansas where I earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Business. I made a choice not to continue my post secondary education until a few years later. At that time I was married and lived in Frankfort. There was a shortage of high school math teachers during the Eighties and I always had a love for mathematics, therefore I made a choice to pursue that route. I attended Kansas State University and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Math Education. How blessed was I to have been hired to teach at our local high school as soon as I graduated from KSU.
Little did I know that the love of mathematics was not comparable to my love of the teenager. How fun they are to be around! Teaching at the school has been a phenomenal and rewarding experience. I love the youth, the challenges, and all of the successes that have been associated with Frankfort High School. I have watched many of my past students have great success and today are surgeons, doctors, nurses, pilots, teachers, lawyers, mechanics, carpenters, writers, bankers, accountants and am pretty sure that I just saw the future President of the United States receive a diploma from our great school.
I have been employed from August, 1988 to the present. I teach the following classes:
Calculus, College Trigonometry, College Algebra, Algebra II, Algebra I
I married Dennis Roeder in September, 1978. We live in the country west of Frankfort. We have three children: Marcia, Paul and Matthew. I am originally from Seneca, Kansas.
I love to read mystery novels. I piddle with piecing quilts and do some hand quilting. I enjoy working in the garden, but mostly like to work with flowers.
