I graduated from Frankfort High School in 2000. In 2003, I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Kansas State University. The following year I received my Master of Accountancy degree from Kansas State University as well. In 2006, I enrolled in the Transition to Teaching program through Fort Hays State University and Wichita State University. Upon completion of this program in 2009, I was granted my professtional teaching license. I currently have teaching endorsements for 6-12 Buisness and 5-8 Mathematics.
I began teaching at Frankfort High School in 2006. I currently teach Consumer Education, Computer Graphics, Computer Applications, College Accounting, 7th grade Math (w/Mrs. Adams), Junior High Study Skills, and Junior High PE. I am also the High School Yearbook Sponsor, Junior High Football Coach, Assistant Junior High Basketball Coach, Junior High Boys Track Coach, and the High School Boys Head Basketball Coach.
Before switching to the education profession, I was a public accountant for Sink, Gillmore, & Gordan Public Accountants in Manhattan, KS. During my time as an accountant I was involved with various activites such as individual & corporate tax returns, payroll for small businesses, and was a member of the audit team.
In May of 2005, I married Sandi Gerstner. We have three children: Wes (8), Shayne (6), and Collin (2). Sandi is a loan officer at First National Bank in Frankfort. Wes is currently a 2nd grader at Frankfort Grade School. Shayne is currently in Kindergarten at Frankfort Grade School.
During my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and three kids. I also enjoy attending and watching sporting activities, especially Kansas State University games. When time presents itselft, I love to hunt, fish, and spend time outdoors.
